Kia ora koutou
It’s a privilege to run the electricity sector’s largest conference and to be able to provide our sector with unparalleled opportunities to learn, share and connect. I’m delighted to warmly welcome all of you to EEA2026 where this year we come together to rise to the challenge of Powering Prosperity: He Puna Waiora.
Electricity underpins every part of today’s society. It’s vital to Aotearoa’s economic growth and prosperity and supporting the everyday life and wellbeing of consumers and communities. Our system plays a key role in businesses deciding to invest and operate here, and workers and families committing to making this our home. We all want a flourishing economy and society, and we have a key role to play in this.
As members of this sector, our ultimate goals are a resilient, sustainable, high performing system that attracts investment and minimises electricity prices. Supported by a workforce who are well connected, highly knowledgeable, and operate in steamlined, consistent ways.
EEA2026 is where we tackle these challenges together, sharing learnings and innovations with each other and debating to reach alignment on issues. We’re incredibly proud that our conference keeps growing as does its reputation for quality. It’s never been more important to stay up to date and connected, given today’s pace of change.
With keynote speakers, panel discussions, technical presentations, workshops and our annual awards ceremony celebrating the brightest and the best, it is a jammed packed three days offering something for everyone.
All are welcome.
EEA2026 also includes a comprehensive Technology Exhibition providing a great opportunity for businesses to showcase technology, services, people and products, and for delegates to get ‘hands-on’ with future options and solutions. Known as the largest annual sector event in the southern hemisphere, it draws international suppliers with their latest tech.
Better still, EEA2026 is all about you. Your opportunity to network and connect; to present to your peers and to learn from others; to hear about the latest research and developments, technologies and innovations.
Last conference, we welcomed more than 1200 people through the doors, all of whom had the chance to explore the 150 exhibitions.
So, don’t delay. Book your space at EEA2026 and join us as we lead the change to an electrified Aotearoa.
I look forward to seeing you in Tāmaki Makarau Auckland in September.
