The 12th Australian High Voltage Conference, scheduled for July 2025 in Brisbane at Rydges South Bank, promises to be an essential event for professionals engaged with high voltage (HV) systems across various sectors such as mining, industrial plants, oil and gas, and utilities.

Following the great success of our Cairns Symposium in 2023, CIGRE Australia will be hosting an integrated suite of three conferences exploring the theme “Shaping the Power Systems of Tomorrow”.
This will be the largest CIGRE Australia event of the year and will include the 9th South East Asia Protection Automation and Control Conference (SEAPAC25) and the 7th Conference on the Integration of Distributed Energy Resources (CIDER25) along with plenary sessions on the energy transition, tutorials, a leadership breakfast hosted by Women in Energy and event for NextGen Power Professionals (focusing on the professional development for young professionals).

After 34 events the Australasian Universities Power Engineering Conference (AUPEC) has become the IEEE PES Australasian Universities Power Engineering Conference.
AUPEC continues its traditions to bring together academics, students, researchers and practising engineers, primarily from Australasia but also from other parts of the world, to present emerging topics in power and energy.
In 2025 AUPEC will be held from 29 September-1 October 2025 in Brisbane, Australia. The conference invites researchers and industry professionals to submit new and original ideas on different aspects of power and energy engineering, which includes but is not limited to the following broad topics:

The Australasian Protection Testers User Group (APTUG) meeting provides a forum for sharing knowledge, developing protection and high voltage testing techniques and strategies, and learning from the experiences of others in the industry.
Presentation and discussion sessions on power system protection testing and training will be conducted in conjunction with parallel sessions for high voltage primary system equipment testing, interpreting results and sharing industry experiences.
The APTUG meetings have been run annually for the last 32 years, providing training, technical presentations, and collaborative discussions. Last year, 120 participants from 33 organisations attended and 52 presentations/open discussion sessions were provided.
