Unlike conventional switches that rely on mechanical flags or assumed positions, the NOJA Power VISI SWITCH® allows operators to see the actual isolator contacts through a dedicated viewing window embedded in each phase.

From ground level, personnel can clearly confirm whether the switch is open or closed. No guesswork, no interpretation. The isolator contact is coated in a reflective red finish for high visibility, even in low light conditions, while the viewing window remains transparent for the full life of the switch. This visible break provides absolute confidence that a circuit is safely isolated before work begins.

Internally, the NOJA Power VISI SWITCH® combines vacuum interrupters with solid dielectric insulation, ensuring load breaking occurs safely before isolation is achieved. Bringing Remote Control to Visible Isolation

In January 2026, NOJA Power confirmed the integration of its field proven RC 10 control system into VISI SWITCH®, unlocking full remote operation capability for the first time.

Through a factory integrated Motor Accessory option, engineers can now remotely open and close the switch via industry standard SCADA protocols, including DNP3, IEC 61850, and IEC 60870 5 104. This ensures seamless integration into existing control rooms, grid automation platforms, and digital substations.

Crucially, remote control does not compromise VISI SWITCH®’s defining feature. Operators still retain visible internal isolation, meaning utilities can combine remote switching efficiency with absolute on site confirmation whenever required.
